All corduroy'd up!

Today I decided to wear my two recent corduroy pieces and make them mate and produce the offspring of my outfit! Got out my pale salmon corduroy pants, and my green corduroy blazer and threw them together with a striped tank top. Quite proud to say I may have thrifted this whole ensemble! Without the shoes that is. Wow what a lovely money saver that is! I think I have begun to enjoy corduroy a bit more, going to keep my eyes peeled for it more often when I head to the shops. Such a cozy material for the winter! ^_^ yaay. Cheers, that's all I got today.
Have a lovely end to your week everyone!

Much love,
Ginela

Bit of a far-out ensemble

Hi there! This week I received something very sweet in the mail, from the land of many fairytales- the UK! Lo and behold my Floral Simple Minds heels arrived from Office Shoes! They are quite a frivolous pair, and to my surprise, very comfortable for their towering heel size. Anyways, I was feelin' groovy and I decided to device a weird outfit to compliment the shoes. So it went. I dug out my rare pastel pink coat/dress thing, made some ribbon bows, and did up my invisible bangs, rockabilly style. And this is what came out! The outfit is a bit far out, and I would need to grow some lady balls of courage to wear this out in public. But who knows! I might debut it someday haha.
Here goes!

Shoes:

Accessories:
Blue hand made hair bows and pearly earrings.

New Helpful Purchases!

I made two great purchases today that will be helping me much for the next two years in school and with outside gigs.

After class today, I headed out to the complex world of Square One, here in Mississauga in search for a back pack capable of great things: be it holding my heavy macbook, lunch items, text books, and other important lady things, the bag just had to be right and strong. Thankfully I found a fair match.

This was she:
A magenta and navy polkadot back pack by Powder Room.

I was also in need of purchasing a new professional microphone for myself which I will be needing for a gig I am going to be singing in the this Friday 27. A friend from Metalworks suggested getting the SM58 mic by Shure saying it was very durable, professional gear. Tis a bit costly, but I will need it much in the future as I have just joined a new rock n' roll band with some friends. I will post about my outfit for the gig here on my blog soon, and perhaps some pictures from the gig as well! Some video footage would be nice. I'm going to enjoy singing some Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and The Who, so of course, I'm extremely excited and honoured to be playing my very talented buddies. More on that will come here soon. Here is my new mic :)

I shall call him Soundwavelius and he shall be my new buddy for years to come! ^_^ yaaay.

A grey dress for a foggy day

Hey there! Here goes my very first vintage clothing post ever! And hey doing this has been kind of fun :) To anyone reading this who may have a clothing blog, I bid you happy posting! Leave me a link here below in the comments if you do and I shall follow you!

Anyhow back to the clothing side of things. Today it was quite so ever foggy outside up here in the GTA, Canada. I was rushing to get to school this morning, so I chose an easy to assemble outfit from my closet, that quite coincidentally turned out to be my grey/charcoal dress reflecting the fogginess outside. That, as well as my warm salmon sweater with little grey hearts and designs on it's V-neck line.

And so off I was to my college! It was as wonderful as its been since I started this January. My college here is called Metalworks Institute of Sound and Music Production. Perhaps I shall do a little post on it sometime.   Other than that, nothing much special has happened today, but I did feel very lovely in my dresses, because dresses have a mind of their own and give your body a role and character to conquer the day! ;) Haha.
